Quad / ATV Trailers

Trailers for quads are usually not what the customer thinks they should be. Quads are usually physically larger than most people want to recognize, and the trailers need to be larger than most people think. Two quads do not fit on a 4’x8’ trailer, and they don’t fit on a 5’x8’ trailer. Most quads are a little longer than 6 feet long - usually 6 1/2’ or 80” long. Therefore, you cannot usually put 2 quads in line on a 12’ long trailer, you usually need 13’. Nobody makes a 13’ trailer standard. 14’ trailers are usually 2 axle, and are quite large. The best way to arrange 2 quads on a trailer is to park them sideways. This requires a trailer with no side rails and no fenders in order to load easily. This is usually a deck over the wheels type trailer, much like a snowmobile trailer, but smaller.

Quad trailers can be narrower than 80” if they do not have side ramps. This allows you to put them through a 7’ garage door.

Trailers with side ramps are usually 84” or wider to allow for the body of the quad.
Trailers without side ramps installed only have to accommodate the length of the wheelbase of the quads. These trailers require the user to carry a separate set of ramps to load and unload.
